At the core of UPOnline’s success is a team of dedicated educators. Among them, Louise Janse van Rensburg, a registered industrial psychologist since 2004, with a master’s degree in Human Resource Management, facilitates modules for the Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Public Management.

Janse van Rensburg brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching to her role and students. She appreciates the flexibility that online education offers, allowing students to study and learn at their own pace and in their own time. This flexibility is particularly beneficial to students balancing work, education, and  personal commitments, empowering students to achieve a balance traditional learning does not offer.

Janse van Rensburg says one of her most rewarding experiences as an educator in PGDip Public Management, is witnessing the remarkable progression in students’ growth throughout their studies. “It is easy to track and see the improvement in thinking and learning over the period of studying.” Being able to track and observe this improvement is gratifying and highlights the effectiveness of online learning. 

The PGDip Public Management facilitator excels in creating an engaging and a collaborative atmosphere and her favourite virtual icebreaker is an online BINGO activity, designed to help students get to know one another.  This activity not only breaks the ice but builds an interactive community. She also incorporates the WIKI tool, which promotes creativity, growth and development. 

Beyond her professional life, she has a musical side and can play both piano and guitar. The blend of professional expertise and engaging teaching methods continues to inspire and benefit students, preparing them for success in their fields.
